The landmark story

Gwalior Fort is a hill fort dating back to the 5th or 6th century, one of the oldest in India, recorded in Sanskrit inscriptions as Gopgiri. Babur called it the pearl among the fortresses of Hind, and it was nicknamed the Gibraltar of India. Two of its six palaces were built by Man Singh Tomar.
